Samuel Chinemerem Nwajagu is a Nigerian model, actor, and Mechanical Engineer from Akpu Town in Anambra State. Raised in an entrepreneurial Igbo family that valued discipline and hard work, he grew up with a love for science, sports, and creative arts — excelling in sprinting, singing, acting, and geometric design.

He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, while continuing to pursue higher education in engineering. What drives him is a simple mantra: “You don’t have to be great to start, but start to be great.”

The moment everything changed came in 2024. After winning Misters of Nigeria and being crowned Mister International Nigeria, he traveled to Bangkok on December 14th and became the first African in history to win Mister International — competing against 47 contestants from around the world. He is an advocate for youth empowerment, African excellence, health, and overall wellbeing.

Samuel’s work moves fluidly from Mechanical Engineering to building sustainable systems, from screen to runway to stage — and that range is intentional.

As an engineer, he brings analytical rigor, structural perspective, and problem-solving. As a model, he has worked with brands like Adidas Thailand, Jockey India, Nutrify, Rich Sleep, Eleven Sixteen, and Nemsamuels, commanding runways with his 6’3” presence — a presence that also earned him Best in Swimwear in Bangkok. As an actor, he has worked with film studios such as Ruth Kadiri Films in Nigeria and Aura Productions in Thailand and India. He began his hosting career with Misters of Nigeria 2026, bringing charisma and storytelling to the stage, and as a pageant king, he brings advocacy.

The combination isn’t a contradiction, it’s the whole point: discipline makes creativity stronger, and visibility gives intellect a larger platform. He represents a new archetype of African excellence where Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and style don’t compete, but complete each other.

Now, as Mister International 2024, Samuel is using his historic reign to build what’s next. Since being crowned by Kim Thitisan Goodburn in Thailand, he has traveled as a global ambassador with appearances and judging roles across the Philippines, Thailand, Nigeria, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Côte d’Ivoire.

He is focused on youth empowerment, fitness and wellness advocacy, and elevating African fashion and talent on the world stage. He is open to collaborations across fashion campaigns and runway, fitness and lifestyle brands, film and hosting, and speaking engagements centered on resilience, hope, and “small beginnings” his core message is that greatness follows where dreams meet determination.
